Climate Models

Climate models are mathematical, computer-based representations of the Earth’s climate system, built on well-established physical processes that govern the transfer of energy and matter between the atmosphere, oceans, land, and ice. Scientists use them to analyse past climate behaviour and to estimate how the climate may respond to different natural and human influences.
